| So sang Frank Sinatra in his classic rendition of 'September Song' recorded in 1965. Well, we've moved out of the steamy summer weather, and also left behind the drought of holidays. For with a few notable exceptions, Holidays go on vacation too, in the summer. From here till the end of the year, the holidays and special days become more frequent and more festive. The harvest moon will even make an appearance before month's end. |

That said, September has a few well known holidays, such as Labor day, VJ Day and the Autumnal Equinox, but also some odd ones like: 'Be late for something Day' on the 5th; Make a Hat Day on the 15th; International Talk Like a Pirate Day on the 19th and Ask a Stupid Question Day on the 28th. There are more but I won't bore you!
