| It doesn't matter if you're visiting a friend in a suburb on the other side of your city or if you've gotten an early start on planning your Thanksgiving road trip. If you're planning to map your directions online, plan to bring a map book or atlas. Of course, you could just take a computer with you. |

There's a major accident ahead of you, you're 10 miles from home, with 20 to go, and all you have is a piece of paper with printed directions... you get stuck in the traffic jam like everyone else. However, if you listen to the radio for traffic updates and you have a map book, you can exit and find an alternate route. You can usually get a metropolitan area map book for about $20.
If you're planning a road trip, make sure you have an atlas and use some additional websites. For each state you'll be driving through, find its department of transportation online. Follow links to road construction, and print what you need. Now when you create your online map, you can avoid these areas. But road construction isn't always planned. So have an atlas with you. Especially in rural areas, it's the only way to create your own detour.
If you had a computer with you, obviously, you wouldn't need to troubleshoot the old school way. When you buy your new vehicle from Jupiter Chevrolet, we can put our computer in it for you. It's a GPS navigation system that knows exactly where you are, where you want to go and guides you through your journey. If you decide to change your route, it re-adjusts.
No matter how you get from Point A to Point B, we just want you to get there, and get there safely. |
