U.S. News recently gathered up the opinions of auto experts and analyzed 52 published reviews and test drives to find what full size pickup trucks give you the most for your money. The experts agree. The 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 ranks number one.
It's hard to find a bad review of the 2009 Chevrolet Silverado. This pickup is consistently at the top of rankings for power, safety and style. It's simply too difficult to find a competitor with a better combination of ruggedness, capability and comfort. Car and Driver actually said, "Let's just agree that a perfect truck is hard to find, and we'll drive the Silverado until we find it."
The most difficult part about buying or leasing this truck is deciding what kind of truck you want. Every driver has a different need for the Silverado, so you'll find a staggering number of engines, trim levels, bed lengths, suspension configurations and other options. The Silverado 1500 is available with two-wheel or four-wheel drive; with a short, standard or long bed; with a regular, crew or extended cab, and in Work Truck, LT and LTZ trim levels.
What experts and reviews all say is that no matter what combination you choose, you always get capability and comfort. Then there's gas mileage. How often do you hear people brag about the gas mileage of a big truck? Silverado owners do. It's among the best in its class... for several years running.
The experts also gave Silverado 9.9 out of 10 for safety. The truck consistently scores well in government crash tests and is loaded with class-leading safety features.
Flexibility, comfort, style, gas mileage, safety... the list goes on. Whether you'll use your Silverado as the weekday family car, as a workhorse to haul home-improvement supplies or to tow the boat on the weekends... you'll find you've got a whole lot of bang. |
