Giving Cancer the Pink Slip

Fighting cancer and supporting those in our community impacted by this devastating disease is an important mission for Chevrolet. From fundraising to simply taking a walk, Chevy is determined to eliminate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease.

Fundraisers and donations have played a role in nearly every major research breakthrough in recent history regarding cancer. With that knowledge, Chevy pledged to make a donation in the amount of $200 for each caution lap when the specially-themed "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" pink Camaro SS pace car leads the field during NASCAR events. Within two weeks Team Chevy donated a total of $29,800 to the ACS.

Chevy Dealers are also participating in over 200 nationally scheduled Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks to raise awareness and funds for research. Research that will explore the cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure for this disease. Together with over 880 participants and 1375 personal donations, we have raised a total of $99,086.261 and counting.

If you're interested in joining a team or making a donation in your area, please visit http://makingstrides.acsevents.org/Chevrolet for more details.

Helping people stay well. Helping people get well. That's Chevrolet's commitment. We thank the American Cancer Society and our generous customers in helping us treat those affected by breast cancer today and discovering the lifesaving cure of tomorrow.
